Biographical Text

Kate Fogle (American, 1983) is a member of the Digital Project Team. She assisted in the creation of interactive components and content featured on the exhibition website.

Kate was born in Spokane, Washington, and obtained her BA in English/Creative Writing from Seattle University in 2005. As a Ryerson University graduate student in the F+PPCM program, she served as a Junior Fellow at the Library of Congress during the summer of 2018, and will be undertaking a professional residency at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian, to begin in 2019.

Kate is an analog photographer with an interest in nineteenth-century photographic processes and materials, as well as the history of unknown and under-researched early women photographers. She hopes to pursue a career path that incorporates aspects of historical research and photographic preservation. She will be permanently relocating to Washington, DC.
